Melinda McCarthy's Visual Art
Very much drawn to the stories of ancient mythology, folklore and mysticism her work delves into the surreal, magical and sometimes dark world of fantasy and legend. Her work is suitable for a range of purposes such as, book illustrations, CD covers, editorial, magazine covers, promotional posters, prints, greeting cards, book jackets and story-boarding. Especially those dealing with genres in fantasy, magic, mythology, fairy tales and folklore, for children, teens and adults alike.
As an exhibiting artist, her fine art is held in various private collections internationally and may be commissioned as single pieces or used to produce fine art prints. Whilst most of her works use oils, acrylics, or a mixture of both, Melinda also has strong illustrative skills using grey lead, colour and watercolour pencils as well as ink.
